2 Hospitalized After Car, Transport Truck Collide on Hwy. 48 in Georgina

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a serious collision involving a car and a transport truck on Highway 48 in Georgina — southeast of Barrie.
- The incident took place on the highway at Latimer Road, north of Old Homestead Road, around 1:30pm ET on July 10.
- Both drivers were taken to hospital. The severity of their injuries hasn’t been disclosed.
- Highway 48 was temporarily closed between Old Homestead Road and High Street.
