81-year-old dead after wrong-way Hwy. 401 crash in Woodstock

Incident details
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Woodstock.
- The incident took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway near the Mill Street exit before midnight on April 26.
- OPP told The London Free Press that a passenger vehicle was travelling westbound in the eastbound lanes and collided with a commercial vehicle.
- An 81-year-old resident from Woodstock was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s unclear if the individual was the driver or a passenger.
- No injuries were reported for the driver of the commercial vehicle.
