3 hurt after white Jaguar causes 11-vehicle crash in south Etobicoke

At least three people have been taken to hospital after a white Jaguar caused an 11-vehicle crash in Etobicoke’s New Toronto neighbourhood.

• Toronto police posted on X (formerly Twitter) that officers responded to reports of a multi-vehicle collision in the area of Islington Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West before 3:10 p.m. ET on April 7.
• A photo of the scene, shared by CTV News, shows significant damage to what appears to be a white Jaguar crossover.
• Officials said the driver of the white Jaguar, a 31-year-old man, was arrested and rushed to a trauma centre with serious injuries. His condition isn’t believed to be life-threatening.
• Two other people were taken to local hospital. Their injuries aren’t considered life-threatening either.
• The intersection of Islington Avenue and Lake Shore Boulevard West was temporarily closed.
