Driver seriously injured in Uxbridge dump truck crash on Regional Road 47

A serious collision occurred early Wednesday morning, involving a Honda CRV and a dump truck on Regional Road 47 near Paisley Lane in Uxbridge, Ontario. Durham Regional Police were dispatched to the scene around 12:20 a.m. after reports of a vehicle rollover, reports CP24.

According to police, the Honda CRV, traveling eastbound on Regional Road 47, crossed into the westbound lane and collided with the dump truck. The impact caused the Honda to roll over.

The driver of the Honda, a 24-year-old individual, sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were promptly transported to a trauma hospital in the Toronto area for treatment. The driver of the dump truck was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.

Durham police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash. It is not yet clear why the Honda crossed into the opposite lane, and officers are working to determine if factors such as speed, impairment, or road conditions contributed to the accident.
