“[These] changes are necessary to maximize the effectiveness of the people team and the enormous potential ahead of us,” CEO Dara Khosrowshahi said in an internal memo seen by multiple news outlets on June 3, 2026.

The June workforce reduction comes roughly a month after Jill Hazelbaker was named the new president of the food delivery and ride-hailing giant.
