Two-vehicle crash on Albion Road leaves driver dead, 1 injured
Toronto, ON – In a tragic incident early Tuesday morning, a male driver lost his life in a violent two-vehicle collision in Etobicoke’s industrial area. The crash occurred near Albion Road and Claireport Crescent around 10:10 a.m., according to a Toronto police news release.
Incident Details
Police reports indicate that a Nissan sedan was traveling eastbound on Albion Road while a transport truck was heading westbound. The sedan collided with the transport truck just west of Claireport Crescent, resulting in significant damage to both vehicles.
The driver of the Nissan sedan was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not disclosed the driver’s age or identity. Another individual involved in the crash was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Images from the crash site depict the severe impact, with the transport truck’s front hood torn off and the sedan extensively crumpled.
Road Closure and Investigation
Albion Road was temporarily closed in both directions west of Highway 427 to allow for a thorough investigation but has since been reopened to traffic.
