18-year-old dead following single-vehicle crash in Oshawa

An 18-year-old is dead following a single-vehicle crash near the Harmony Valley Conversation Area in Oshawa.
- Durham police said in a news release that officers were called to the area of Grandview Street North and Rathburn Street just before 4:40 a.m. ET on Feb. 3.
- “The motor vehicle was travelling southbound when it exited the roadway striking a light standard and sign. The single occupant, an 18-year-old male driver was pronounced deceased on scene,” the release reads.
- Motorists were asked to avoid the area for several hours while evidence was collected.

The cause of the fatal single-vehicle collision remains under investigation.
