Samfiru Tumarkin LLP launches new weekday show on Toronto talk radio station
TORONTO, March 31, 2022 – Samfiru Tumarkin LLP has launched a new weekday call-in show at 6:30 p.m. ET on Corus-owned talk radio station 640 Toronto that will provide valuable answers and insights on workplace issues and long-term disability claims. This new program features the firm’s Employment Law Show every Monday through Thursday (expanding from its previous Monday and Wednesday airtime on the station), and introduces the Disability Law Show every Friday afternoon.
“We are excited to have the opportunity to consistently educate a larger audience on their employment rights, bust the common myths that continue to float around the water cooler, and give people the opportunity to speak directly to an employment lawyer with questions or concerns about workplace matters,” said employment lawyer Lior Samfiru, host of the Employment Law Show and National Co-managing Partner of Samfiru Tumarkin LLP.
While the Employment Law Show focuses on problems arising with layoffs, severance packages, harassment, and changes to someone’s job, the Disability Law Show explores the long-term disability claim process for injured or ill workers and how to respond to insurance companies when a claim is cut off or denied.
“This is the program that your insurance company doesn’t want you to listen to,” said disability lawyer Sivan Tumarkin, National Co-managing Partner at Samfiru Tumarkin LLP and host of the Disability Law Show.
“We peel back the layers on the insurance industry’s processes and reasons for denying claims, and expose their weaknesses in order to give listeners the proper tools to defend their claim and get the compensation they are owed.”
The new weekday program, featuring co-host John Scholes, airs 6:30 – 7 p.m. ET on 640 Toronto and is simulcast on 980 CFPL in London, Ontario. In addition to this new time slot, the law firm continues to air its Employment Law Show every Saturday at 9 a.m. ET and Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, and the Disability Law Show every Saturday at 10 a.m. ET and Sunday at 12 p.m. ET.
You can listen to the show live through the station’s online radio player.
