Pedestrian dead, struck by dump truck near Bathurst-Wilson Parkette

Toronto police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian and a dump truck in North York.
- The incident took place on Wilson Avenue, near the Bathurst-Wilson Parkette, before 11 a.m. ET on Feb. 11.
- Duty senior officer Brian Maslowski told CityNews Toronto that a pedestrian, an 81-year-old woman, was crossing at a crosswalk north on Wilson when she was hit by a dump truck.
- “Citizens in the area immediately attempted first aid, but unfortunately she succumbed to her injuries,” Maslowski said.
- The driver of the dump truck remained at the scene.
- Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.
Investigation updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
