A pedestrian is dead after being struck by vehicle while crossing Highway 401 near Kingston Mills.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the incident took place in the westbound lanes of highway, between Highway 15 and Montreal Street. Crews responded to reports of a crash in the area just after 1:30 a.m. ET on Jan. 16.
- Officials pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
- The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
Investigation updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
