OPP investigating after school bus, tractor-trailer collide near Orillia

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating after a school bus carrying children and a tractor-trailer collided near Orillia.
- Just after 9 a.m. ET on Jan. 23, OPP posted on X (formerly Twitter) that one eastbound lane on Highway 12 was closed between Wainman Line and Prices Corner for “debris cleanup.”
- “No injuries reported at this time, Simcoe County Paramedics Services are attending as a precaution,” the post reads.
- Motorists are being asked to avoid the area.

Investigation updates
The cause of the two-vehicle collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
