OPP: 2 dead, 2 hospitalized after trucks collide on Hwy. 11 near Hearst

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision involving two commercial trucks on Highway 11 near Hearst.
Just before 9 a.m. ET on Dec. 14, the Ministry of Transportation (MTO) reported that the highway was closed between Labelle Street and Gravel Road.
- The drivers of the commercial trucks were pronounced dead at the scene.
- Two passengers were transported to hospital. The severity of their injuries wasn’t disclosed.
- This stretch of the highway reopened in the morning on Dec. 15.
Investigation updates
The cause of the two-vehicle collision remains under investigation.
OPP acting Sgt. Hayley Mcleary told CTV News in an email that roads were clear and dry in the morning on Dec. 14.
