Motorcyclist rushed to hospital after QEW hit-and-run in Oakville
Incident details
A motorcyclist has been rushed to hospital following a hit-and-run collision on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) in Oakville.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) say the incident took place in the westbound lanes of the QEW before Dorval Drive on Oct. 22.
- The motorcyclist, a 47-year-old Oakville resident, was reportedly struck by a van Tuesday afternoon. The driver of the van didn’t remain at the scene.
- The motorcyclist was initially taken to a trauma centre with life-threatening injuries. However, their injuries were downgraded to life-altering.
Investigation updates
OPP said they are looking for a “light coloured” van. No further details have been provided at this time.
