Mississauga Crash: 18-year-old faces new charges after multi-vehicle collision

Incident Details

18-year-old Andrew Al Dbai has been arrested and is facing new charges following a multi-vehicle crash earlier this year in Mississauga. The incident occurred on March 28 at approximately 8 p.m. at the intersection of Derry Road and Argentia Road.

• Peel Regional Police reported that a black Honda SUV, allegedly driven by Al Dbai, was traveling eastbound on Derry Road at a very high speed.
• The SUV rear-ended another vehicle, causing the Honda to mount the median and collide head-on with a second vehicle traveling westbound.

Victim Information

• The driver of the rear-ended vehicle sustained minor injuries and was taken to a local hospital.
• The driver and passenger of the westbound vehicle struck head-on suffered non-life-threatening injuries and were also hospitalized.
• Both the driver, Andrew Al Dbai, and a passenger in the Honda SUV were transported to a trauma center with life-threatening injuries.

Charges

Andrew Al Dbai has been charged with:

• Dangerous operation of a motor vehicle
• Performing a stunt by speeding
• Three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle causing bodily harm

Al Dbai had previously been charged with speed-related offences, though details of those charges and their resolutions have not been disclosed by the police.
