Man, 31, dead after single-vehicle Hwy. 417 crash near Arnprior

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision on Highway 417 near Arnprior—northwest of Ottawa.
- Emergency crews responded to a crash in the eastbound lanes of the highway at Campbell Drive around 4:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 12.
- Video of the scene shows substantial damage to the vehicle.
- OPP said the driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old man from Ottawa, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
