Lakeshore driver charged with impaired driving after crash injures three on Puce Road
Incident details
A driver has been charged with impaired driving after a two-vehicle collision in the Municipality of Lakeshore resulted in injuries to three individuals, according to the OPP. The crash occurred on Puce Road, between Walls Road and Highway 401, around 5:40 p.m. on September 27.
- The collision involved a pickup truck with a single occupant and a sedan carrying two passengers.
- All three individuals involved in the crash were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
- Responding to the scene were officers from the OPP Lakeshore detachment, alongside members of Lakeshore Fire Rescue and Essex-Windsor EMS.

Charges
The driver of the pickup truck, identified as a 32-year-old Lakeshore resident, was charged with:
- Operating a vehicle while impaired by alcohol or drugs
- Exceeding the legal blood alcohol limit of 80-plus
In addition to these charges, the driver received a 90-day license suspension and a 7-day vehicle impoundment. The suspect has since been released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on October 18.
