Hamilton teen hurt, struck by ‘black sedan’ near Delta Secondary School
Incident details
A 16-year-old is recovering in hospital after being struck by a vehicle near Delta Secondary School in Hamilton.
- Police said in a news release that the teenager was crossing Main Street East, just east of Crosthwaite Avenue North, around 1 a.m. on Dec. 25 when he was struck by a “black sedan” travelling westbound.
- The suspect vehicle didn’t remain at the scene.
- Officials said the teenager’s injuries aren’t considered to be life-threatening.
Investigation updates
According to CHCH News, an arrest has been made based on surveillance and licence plate footage of the suspect vehicle.
Anyone with information on the incident, including cellphone or dashcam footage, is asked to contact Hamilton police.
