Fiery plane crash at Toronto’s Pearson airport: Rights for injured passengers

What happened?
A Delta airlines flight from Minneapolis crash landed at Toronto Pearson International Airport (Pearson) — injuring more than a dozen people.
Flight 4819, operated by Delta’s subsidiary Endeavor Air, was carrying 76 passengers and four crew members when it collided with the tarmac and flipped onto its roof, catching fire.
“I’m relieved to learn that all passengers and crew are accounted for after [the] plane crash,” Toronto Mayor Olivia Chow said in post on X (formerly Twitter) on Feb. 17.
“Thank you to the first responders, crew, and airport staff for their quick actions and commitment to keeping everyone safe.”
Other government leaders, including Ontario Premier Doug Ford, expressed their relief on social media that there were no fatalities.
