Fatal Whitby crash: Rollover on Hwy. 412, north of Taunton Road

A fatal single-vehicle crash occurred on Saturday morning on Highway 412 in Whitby. The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that a 21-year-old woman from Whitby was driving southbound when her vehicle rolled over into a grassy median.

The driver, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident took place shortly after 8 a.m.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the OPP. The stretch of Highway 412 near Taunton Road was closed for approximately five hours following the accident but has since reopened.
