1 dead, 2 seriously hurt after single-vehicle Hwy. 401 crash in Scarborough

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 in Scarborough.

• In a post on X (formerly Twitter), officials said they received calls about a collision in the westbound collector lanes of the highway at Meadowvale Road just after 10 a.m. ET on April 14.
• The driver of the vehicle reportedly struck a guardrail while travelling westbound.
• “The driver has succumbed to his injuries and two passengers in the motor vehicle have been taken to a trauma centre with serious injuries,” OPP Constable Taylor Konkle said in a video on X.
