On Wednesday morning, a fatal multi-vehicle crash occurred on Highway 401 in Napanee, marking the third serious collision in this area within a week.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) reported that the crash happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes near Palace Road.

Victim information
Tragically, one occupant of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. Three other individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were transported to the hospital for treatment.
