1 Dead, 2 Hurt Following Single-Vehicle Crash on Hwy. 401 Near Cornwall

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 near Cornwall on July 19, 2026.


What Happened?

  • The incident took place on the highway between Boundary Road and County Road 27 around 3:30pm ET on July 19.
  • According to officials, a vehicle rolled over when it struck the centre median.
  • The driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old man from Clarence-Rockland, was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers suffered minor injuries.
