Driver hurt after colliding with transport truck on Hwy. 401 near Ingersoll
Incident details
One person is hurt following a two-vehicle collision on Highway 401 near Ingersoll.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said a passenger vehicle and a transport truck collided in the westbound lanes of the highway before 3 a.m. ET on Jan. 10.
- The driver of the passenger vehicle, the sole occupant, was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Their condition isn’t life-threatening.
- No injuries were reported for the driver of the transport truck.
- Westbound lanes on Highway 401 were closed at Culloden Road for several hours.
Investigation updates
The cause of the two-vehicle collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
