Is Disney Cutting More Jobs in 2026?

Yes. After a significant round of layoffs in April, Disney confirmed on July 21, 2026 that it’s eliminating several hundred positions.

Multiple departments at the entertainment giant are affected by the latest restructuring, including ESPN, Pixar, and National Geographic.

The job cuts at Pixar come despite the success of “Toy Story 5” at the summer box office.

Impact on Canadian Staff

It remains unclear if any Canadian employees at Disney are being let go.

According to LinkedIn, the company currently has more than 700 workers in the country.
