Cyclist fatally injured in collision on Morris Road in Lakeshore Township

A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday evening, resulting in the death of a cyclist following a collision with a vehicle on Morris Road in Lakeshore Township. The accident happened just after 7 p.m. between Richardson Side Road and Lee Avenue. Emergency services responded promptly to the scene.

The cyclist was transported to the hospital by emergency responders. Unfortunately, despite medical efforts, the cyclist was later pronounced dead at the hospital.
Investigation updates
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) closed Morris Road for six hours while investigating the scene. The roadway has since been reopened. No further details about the vehicle or driver involved have been released as the investigation continues.
