CrowdStrike Slashing 5% of Staff, Part of 2025 ‘Strategic Plan’
What’s going on at CrowdStrike?
CrowdStrike announced that it’s eliminating approximately 500 jobs, or five per cent of its global workforce, as part of a “strategic plan” to “evolve its operations to yield greater efficiencies.”
The cybersecurity giant is currently anticipating charges related to the restructuring (i.e. severance payments, employee benefits, etc.) between $36 million and $53 million.
“The actions associated with the [strategic plan] are expected to be substantially complete by the end of the second quarter of fiscal 2026, subject to local law and consultation requirements,” CrowdStrike said in a recent regulatory filing.
The update comes as the company prepares to release first-quarter results next month.
