BT Group Planning to Eliminate 27,000+ Jobs by 2030, Part of Restructuring

What’s Happening at BT Group?

BT Group is reportedly planning to eliminate approximately 27,500 jobs, more than a quarter of its headcount, by 2030.

The British telecommunications company is continuing to look for ways to cut costs as it grapples with a slowdown in sales growth.


Impact on Canadian Staff

It remains unclear if Canadian employees at BT are affected by the latest restructuring.

According to LinkedIn, the company currently has nearly 100 workers in the country.
