4 people seriously hurt after Scarborough crash, Honda CRV allegedly stolen
Incident details
A collision in Scarborough involving a grey Honda CRV that was allegedly stolen has left four people seriously injured.
- Toronto police said a two-vehicle crash occurred at the intersection of Eglinton Avenue and Brimley Road around 10:30 p.m. ET on Nov. 25.
- A photo of the scene shows significant damage to a white Audi, a grey Honda CRV, and a TTC bus shelter.
- Five people were in the Honda CRV. Two men, a 16-year-old male, and a 15-year-old girl were taken to hospital in serious condition.
- The search continues for the fifth occupant of the vehicle. A 16-year-old girl didn’t remain at the scene.
- The driver of the white Audi, a 51-year-old man, sustained minor injuries.
Investigation updates
The four individuals that were taken to hospital have been arrested.
In a news release on Nov. 26, the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) announced that it had invoked its mandate.
The agency examines police conduct in incidents that result in death, serious injury, the discharge of a firearm, or allegations of sexual assault.
Anyone with information on the incident, including cellphone or dashcam footage, is asked to contact the SIU at 1-800-787-8529.
