Driver charged after multi-vehicle Hwy. 17 crash in Renfrew County
Incident details
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have charged a driver in connection with a multi-vehicle crash in Renfrew County.
The incident took place on Highway 17 between Chenaux Road and Haley Road just after 7 a.m. ET on Nov. 6.
- OPP said two cars, a transport truck, and a school bus were involved in the crash.
- Four people were taken to hospital. None of the injuries were deemed to be life-threatening.
- Initial reports on Nov. 6 claimed three people were hurt and that one person had been airlifted to hospital.
Investigation updates
The cause of the multi-vehicle collision remains under investigation.
OPP didn’t disclose which driver was charged under the Highway Traffic Act with unsafe move-lane or shoulder.
