2 people hospitalized after SUVs, sedan collide north of Guelph

Incident details

The Wellington County detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a serious three-vehicle collision north of Guelph.

  • Emergency crews responded to the intersection of Highway 6 and 8th Line/ Wellington Road 22 around 5 p.m. ET on Nov. 27.
  • The crash reportedly involved two SUVs and a sedan—partially blocking the intersection.
  • One driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries. Officials didn’t say if they were operating the sedan or one of the SUVs.
  • The passenger from another vehicle was airlifted to a trauma centre in serious condition.

Investigation updates

The cause of the three-vehicle collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
