1 dead, 3 hurt after single-vehicle crash north of Hwy. 407 in Pickering
Incident details
The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) is investigating a fatal single-vehicle collision north of Highway 407 in Pickering.
- DRPS initially posted about the incident on X (formerly Twitter) just before 5 a.m. ET on Dec. 18.
- One adult was pronounced dead at the scene. It’s unclear if they were the driver of the vehicle.
- Three other individuals in the vehicle were transported to “Toronto-area trauma centres.” Their injuries aren’t believed to be life-threatening.
- Motorists were asked to avoid Brock Road between Highway 7 and 7th Concession Road.

The cause of the single-vehicle collision remains under investigation.
