Woman dead after sedan, SUV collide northeast of Uxbridge

Incident details
The Durham Regional Police Service (DRPS) is investigating a fatal two-vehicle collision northeast of Uxbridge.
- Before 1:45 p.m. ET on March 13, officials posted on X (formerly Twitter) that southbound lanes of Lake Ridge Road were closed at Scugog Line 14.
- Footage of the scene shows significant front-end damage to a white SUV — resting in a ditch — as well as a dark-coloured sedan.
- DRPS said in an update on X that a woman had been pronounced dead. It wasn’t disclosed if she was a driver or a passenger.
- Motorists were asked to avoid the area.
