Sedan driver dead after SUV collision near Brantford Municipal Airport

Incident details
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal collision involving a sedan and an SUV near Brantford Municipal Airport.
The incident took place on Colborne Street West between Highway 24 and McGregor Avenue around 8:30 p.m. ET on March 4.
- OPP said in a news release that the driver of the sedan, a 25-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.
- The driver of the SUV was taken to hospital. Their injuries aren’t considered life-threatening.
- Colborne Street West was closed between Highway 24 and McGregor Avenue for several hours.
Investigation updates
The cause of the fatal two-vehicle collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
