1 person hurt after horse-drawn buggy crash south of Mount Forest

Incident details
The driver of a horse-drawn buggy is seriously hurt following a collision with a vehicle south of Mount Forest.
- Before noon ET on Feb. 18, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) posted on X (formerly Twitter) that Highway 6 was closed between Sideroad 2 West and Sideroad 4.
- The horse pulling the buggy was also reportedly hurt during the crash. The severity of the animal’s injuries weren’t disclosed.
- No physical injuries were reported for the driver of the vehicle.
- Motorists were asked to avoid the area.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
