Henry Coleman is an Ontario employment lawyer and Associate with Samfiru Tumarkin LLP’s Labour and Employment Law practice group.
Working through the firm’s employment law services in Toronto and Ottawa, Henry assists employees and employers on a broad range of employment matters, including:
- Terminations for cause and without cause
- Wrongful dismissals
- Constructive dismissals
- Severance pay negotiations
- Temporary layoffs
- Workplace harassment and discrimination
- Human rights issues
- Employment contract review and drafting
- Independent contractor rights

Utilizing his extensive legal knowledge and prior experience as a member of Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA!) Local 506, Henry is praised by his clients for his attention to detail as well as his honesty.
Prior to joining Samfiru Tumarkin LLP, he honed his skills articling and working at a major labour and employment law firm in Toronto. This invaluable experience set the foundation for his success in the field.
Outside of the office, Henry enjoys building various Lego projects, programming, and off-roading in his lime green Jeep.
Education
Henry obtained his Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto, where he was a member of the winning Cassels Brock Cup team and won the Harold J. Rubenstein Prize in Restitution Law.
During his time at law school, he worked closely with the AODA Alliance in protecting and advancing the rights of those with disabilities.
Prior to law school, Henry completed his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Waterloo.
