Pedestrian hospitalized, struck by ‘dark-coloured SUV’ in Georgetown

The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) is investigating a hit-and-run collision in Georgetown that sent one person to hospital.
- HRPS said in a news release that an “elderly” pedestrian was struck by a “dark-coloured SUV” at the intersection of Mountainview Road and Campbell Gate just before 6 p.m. ET on Dec. 17.
- “The [individual] was rushed to Georgetown Hospital where they are listed in stable condition,” the release reads.
- Officials said the SUV was last seen travelling south on Mountainview Road.
Witnesses sought
Anyone with information on the hit-and-run collision, including cellphone or dashcam footage, is asked contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit at 905-825-4747, ext. 5065.
