3 people hurt, struck by pickup truck near University of Toronto bookstore
Incident details
Two pedestrians and one cyclist have been taken to hospital after they were struck by a pickup truck near the University of Toronto’s bookstore.
- The incident took place in the area of College Street and St. George Street just after 5 p.m. ET on Dec. 18.
- Officials say the two pedestrians, a woman in her 20s and a man in his 40s, are being treated for serious injuries.
- The cyclist, a man in his 50s, is also being treated for serious injuries. None of the injuries are believed to be life-threatening.
- The driver of the pickup truck, who also struck two vehicles before mounting the sidewalk, remained at the scene.
Investigation updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
