Man critical, struck by vehicle near Square One in Mississauga
Incident details
A man has been rushed to hospital after being struck by a vehicle near Square One in Mississauga.
Peel Regional Police announced the incident, which took place in the area of Rathburn Road West and Confederation Parkway, on X (formerly Twitter) just after 6 p.m. ET on Dec. 11.
- Officials said the pedestrian, described as an “elderly” man, is being treated for life-threatening injuries.
- The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.
- Rathburn Road was temporarily closed between Elora Drive and Living Arts Drive.

Investigation updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
