1 dead, 4 hospitalized after multi-vehicle crash on Hwy. 10 in Caledon
Incident details
One person is dead and four people are hurt after a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 10 in Caledon.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) said the incident took place just before midnight on Dec. 6, but didn’t disclose the specific portion of the highway affected.
- According to officials, three vehicles were involved in the collision on the highway.
- The driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene.
- Two occupants in another vehicle were taken to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious injuries.
- OPP say two individuals in the third vehicle were taken to a local hospital. The severity of their injuries wasn’t provided.
- The affected stretch of Highway 10 was closed for several hours.
Investigation updates
The cause of the three-vehicle collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
