Snowy smashup: At least 1 person hurt after crash north of Kingston
Incident details
At least one person is hurt following a two-vehicle collision in South Frontenac, north of Kingston.
The incident happened on Sydenham Road between Eddy Lane and Horning Road around 2:30 p.m. ET on Dec. 4.
- A photo of the scene shows a white vehicle and a dark-coloured vehicle in a ditch.
- Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) told CTV News that one person was extricated from one of the vehicles and taken to hospital. Their injuries aren’t considered to be life-threatening.
- Sydenham Road between Eddy Lane and Horning Road was temporarily closed until the area was deemed safe for driving.
Investigation updates
The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
OPP are reminding motorists to drive with caution as winter weather affects roads across the province.
“PLEASE slow down. Even if you have snow tires, they can only do so much,” police said.
“It’s your job as a driver to adjust to the conditions. Get home safely.”
