Hamilton hit-and-run sends vehicle into ditch, one driver hospitalized

On Saturday morning, a hit-and-run collision involving three vehicles occurred on westbound Highway 403, just before the Lincoln Alexander Parkway in Hamilton. The crash took place around 8:00 a.m., causing one vehicle to overturn and land in a ditch with its tires facing upward.
- One driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries following the crash.
- No other injuries were reported.
- As a result of the accident, all lanes of Highway 403 were temporarily closed to allow emergency services to clear the scene. The highway reopened around 12:00 p.m.
Investigation updates
The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently searching for the driver who fled the scene and failed to remain after the collision. Investigators are urging anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact the police to assist with the ongoing investigation.
