A 37-year-old Sarnia man faces impaired driving charges following a crash involving a dump truck on Tuesday morning, as reported by Sarnia police. The incident occurred at approximately 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of Scott Road and St. Andrews Street.

The northbound dump truck failed to navigate a turn and collided with a ditch. According to police, the driver attempted to reverse out of the ditch multiple times before being stopped.

No injuries were reported in the incident. The driver was the sole occupant of the vehicle.

Sarnia police observed the driver displaying signs of impairment and placed him under arrest.

  • A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a cooler containing cold alcohol.
