22-year-old dead, 2 injured in Scarborough motorcycle crash

A tragic motorcycle crash occurred early Sunday in Scarborough, resulting in the death of a 22-year-old man and injuries to two other individuals. The incident happened shortly before 1 a.m. at the intersection of Brimley Road and Port Royal Trail, south of Steeles Avenue East.

Victim information
- The deceased man was operating the motorcycle with a woman as his passenger. Both were transported to the hospital by paramedics.
- Unfortunately, the motorcyclist succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
- The female passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
- The 27-year-old driver of the SUV involved in the crash also suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
Investigation updates
Toronto Police Service has confirmed that the cause of the collision is still under investigation. Authorities are conducting interviews with witnesses, reviewing surveillance footage, and performing mechanical inspections on both vehicles to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
