After receiving a letter from my insurance company advising that my LTD benefits were being terminated at the end of the following month for what seemed to be an unfair reason, I was stunned. All I could think about was How? Why? I in no way felt that my health had improved enough for me to return to work. I did not know what to do. I feared I would be forced to return to work just so I could keep a roof over my family’s heads. A friend suggested Samfiru Tumarkin LLP. My Mom was involved in a fall and sustained a severe ankle injury, forcing her to retire, as her job involved being on her feet from anywhere betwen 8 and 12 hours / day. When my insurance disability was cut off by my insurer I thought my I had lost everything that I had in my life. Wife, kids, house. I was at a stand still and did not know what I was going to do. I tried to re-mortgage my house and was unable because of my lack of income, finally I had no choice put to request a private 2nd mortgage not knowing how I was going to pay that back within 1 years time. He agreed to take on my case without me having to put up a retainer fee, that’s how confident he was in foreseeing the final outcome. Not only was it more than enough to pay off my 2nd mortgage but there was also enough left over that I would not have to worry about anything else. They were my voice when I had no voice. The Insurance company was in control and they knew it! That is until Samfiru Tumarkin got involved. James Fireman held them accountable his confidence and deep knowledge of disability law made a difficult situation seemingly easy. The opposing lawyer/s made me doubt myself, they were good, they took advantage of my lack of knowledge and understanding for disability law. I found out that what might make sense to us doesn’t exactly transfer over into a court of law, what seems like doom and gloom isn’t always the case. It was at that moment I knew I knew NOTHING of disability law, real life and law are no were close to where I thought they’d be. Five stars and if I could give more I would. I am extremely pleased with Samfiru and Tumarkin!
