Man Dead After E-Scooter, Sedan Collide Outside Toronto’s Dufferin Mall
Toronto police are investigating a fatal collision involving an e-scooter and a dark-coloured sedan outside Dufferin Mall on July 17, 2026.

What Happened?
- The incident took place at the intersection of Dufferin Street and Dufferin Park Avenue, south of Bloor Street West, shortly after 8am on July 17.
- According to officials, the operator of the e-scooter, a man in his 20s, was struck by the sedan, which was making a left turn into the mall’s parking lot.
- An aerial photo of the scene shows significant front-end damage to the passenger side of the sedan.
- The operator of the e-scooter was rushed to hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead.
Investigation Updates
The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
