What Happened?
- The incident — involving a pickup truck and an SUV — took place on Russell Road near Leitrim Road, just east of Highway 417, before 5pm ET on July 8.
- According to Ottawa police, the driver of the SUV, a woman, suffered life-threatening injuries. She was rushed to hospital — as were the 2 children that were in the vehicle with her.
- The driver of the pickup truck, a man, was also taken to hospital. The children and the man are in stable condition.

The cause of the collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
