Sarnia police are investigating a fatal collision involving a black pickup truck near Sherwood Forest on July 6, 2026.

What Happened?

• The incident took place on Confederation Line between Modeland Road and Blackwell Sideroad shortly after 11pm ET on July 6.
• A photo of the scene shows the black pickup truck in a ditch with a hydro pole seemingly knocked over just down the road. Information on additional vehicles hasn’t been disclosed.
• 2 people were taken to hospital in critical condition. Unfortunately, 1 of the individuals succumbed to their injuries and were later pronounced dead.
