Is EA Cutting More Jobs in 2026?

Yes. Electronic Arts (EA) has reportedly begun a new round of job cuts in June 2026.

According to Kotaku, multiple teams at the video game giant are affected, including:

  • IT
  • Recruitment
  • Customer Support
  • Trust & Safety

The bombshell update comes as EA is in the process of going private (leaving the stock market) in an estimated $55-billion deal.


Impact on Canadian Staff

It remains unclear if any Canadian employees at EA have been let go.

According to LinkedIn, the company currently employs more than 3,300 workers in the country.
