- The incident took place in the eastbound lanes of the highway around Kipling Avenue, approaching the express and collector split, at approximately 6:30am ET on June 21.
- According to Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), 2 vehicles collided — resulting in 1 of the vehicles catching fire.
- 2 people were taken to hospital with injuries reportedly ranging from minor to serious.
- A third person was treated at the scene and released.
