1 Dead, 1 Hospitalized After Head-On Hwy. 6 Crash Southwest of Hamilton
Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a fatal head-on crash on Highway 6 near Caledonia — a community southwest of Hamilton — on June 6, 2026.

What Happened?
- The incident took place on Highway 6 near 5th Line just after 5pm ET on June 6.
- According to OPP, 1 of the drivers — a 17-year-old male from Caledonia — was pronounced dead at the scene.
- The other driver was rushed to a local trauma centre with serious injuries. Their condition isn’t considered life-threatening.
- Motorists were temporarily asked to avoid the area.

The cause of the fatal collision remains under investigation. It’s unclear if charges are pending.
